Mailwasher is one of the very few "free" programs that I felt it was worthwhile to send a donation to. I generally will decide to "pay" or delete at the point the program goes off the free status.

I do tech support for a couple of web sites and email forums and constantly will recommend Mashwasher as a "best buy".
