Posted on 6 Apr, 2008

We are pleased to announce the release of a new version of MailWasher Server.
  • Improvements have been made to the built-in one month trial key.
  • MailWasher Pro Blacklist and Friendslist can now be imported into MailWasher Server
  • Extra maintenance page to manage AD/LDAP access account details.
  • By default, a one month demo account to FirstAlert! is enabled on installation.
  • Fix expired FirstAlert! Trial Account bug.
  • Handle FirstAlert! expired accounts correctly
  • Add new feature Housekeeping, this is run when mpd is (re)started tries to cleanup database files that may be corrupt etc....
  • Update stats totals
  • Default installs for the RBL services to be added by default...
  • Improved the handling of the back button in the installer wizard.

Windows versions are now built using Visual Studio 2008 ( requiring the installation of VC runtimes ), and releases are built using NSIS (http://sourceforge.net/projects/nsis) instead of Inno Setup.

Oracle BerkeleyDB version 4.6.21 has been used for this build, along with openldap 2.4.7 (Linux/Solaris) and Mozilla LDAP 6.0 (Windows). Linux builds also use stlport version 5.1.5 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/stlport).

Versions: el3, el4, el5 relate to RHEL (well CentOS actually) releases. stable and testing are for debian. Windows is the .exe and .exe.zip. The Debian noldap stable versions *should* run just about any linux box, as they link to very few shared libraries.

We recommend existing users upgrade to this new version to take advantage of the new features and resolution of any problems with older versions.
